Postdoctoral position: Novel RNA-seq analysis technologies for the discovery of cancer biomarkers.

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available starting Q1 2017, for a junior scientist with a background in genome bioinformatics at Institute of Integrative Cell Biology (I2BC) in Orsay, Paris region, France.

The successful candidate will work in the group of Pr. Daniel Gautheret, in the Genome Biology department of I2BC. Our objective is the development of new computational tools for the indexing, querying and classification of RNA-seq data, aiming at the discovery of novel cancer biomarkers.

Applicants should have a bioinformatics background and familiarity with NGS data analysis. Knowledge of transcriptome analysis (clustering, signature discovery), RNA biology (RNA splicing, non-coding RNA) or cancer genomics would be additional valuable assets. We expect the selected candidate to display scientific curiosity, autonomy, a strong work ethic and to be driven by biological endpoints of the study.
